New Pokemon mobile game, Pokeland

Pokeland is a new Pokemon game for android and ios. It is currently headed to android only alpha testing in Japan. The gameplay will be similar to Pokemon Rumble, the beat’em up-esque Pokemon game for the Wii. The Pokeland alpha test will have over 6 islands to visit, 52 different stages to play on and 134 types of Pokemon to use. Hopefully this will see an international release, but no word on that happening as of now.

RUMOR: Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Roster Leaked???

Late last night, the interwebs (specifically the FGC) exploded as news leaked of the full roster for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. The leak coming from a member of the NeoGAF forum who states he was “given permission to share this” information. Of course, as with all leaked information, it’s to be taken with a grain of salt. Conversely though, info that’s come from the NeoGaf forum has been correct in the past, as this is the same forum where news of a fourth Marvel vs. Capcom installment was even mentioned to be a thing… and look how that turned out. Take a look at the leaked list below, and let us know what you think of the roster in the comments!

Monster Hunter
Strider Hiryu

Captain America
Captain Marvel
Doctor Strange
Iron Man
Rocket/Groot (this is how the character was named to me; I’m not sure if it’s just Rocket Raccoon with Groot assists or a redesigned character actually called Rocket/Groot)

The Capcom side is missing a character, but it’s probably someone like Frank West. ”

2017 Computex – Intel gets Xtreme

Even for those of you that are not PC gaming I am sure you know of the two big competitors in the CPU market. AMD and Intel. Well Intel is at Computex showing off a new Acer Predator gaming laptop w/ i7 inside, demonstrating the ZenBook Flip S, loads of other thin note books and Intel demonstrated the advantages of the Optane caching SSDs. But lets talk about the big news, the show closer, the Intel response to AMDs recent news; the upcoming 8th generation Core i-series CPUs.

The new Intel Xtreme platform. The X can be blamed on the PC consumers, companies have noticed that slapping words on boxes sell; take GAMING, VR and RGB for example. Anyway, this new CPU can be argued that its primary aim is the gaming/streaming market. This is due all the cores and I mean all. The new Xtreme platform will include CPUs with 4 to 12 cores… maybe as high 14… no lets make it 16, 16 is extreme. But no, that was not enough, 18 CORES!

Everyone bow to the reigning CPU kings of those with unlimited budgets as they release their Core i9 beasts.

Final Fantasy 7: Remake Changing Directions

We’ve got some Final Fantasy 7: Remake news! Although not the news I’m sure you’re hoping for (cough release date cough) Ahem… excuse me. Gematsu is reporting that Square Enix has moved the production of the FF7: Remake from third-party to in-house. The news coming during a Mobius Final Fantasy live stream in which project lead Naoki Hamaguchi made the announcement that he would be taking control of FF7: Remake development.

“The information is already available online, but I’ve taken charge on the development side for Final Fantasy VII Remake,” Hamaguchi said. “As for the whole story, (it’s a sensitive topic, but) until now, development was moving forward with external cooperation, but the company has decided to shift to an internal setup, including mass production and quality, because we want to control everything, including quality, on a stable schedule. (I won’t be leaving Mobius Final Fantasy.)”

This is actually great news, in my opinion, as having the game purely developed in-house will help ensure the best experience from marketing to gameplay. In the mean time, we’ll be waiting anxiously for more info about FF7: Remake, and as soon as we know, so will you!

Uzbekistan bans over 30 videogames

Apparently this make you evil

In today’s WTF news, Uzbekistan has released a list of over 30 games that are now banned. Most of the list are games you would expect. Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil, Call of Duty and….The Sims?! Wait, what? Apparently there is reason to believe the games may “disturb  civil peace and inter-ethnic and inter-religious harmony”

This is stupid for so many reasons, I now have more questions than answers. Are they going to go door to door and go through people’s game collections?  Will you have to play your favorite game on mute? Do they know what an emulator does? Do they believe in the internet? This is a giant waste of time.

Crazy Lucio cosplay!

Monty as Lucio

So the competitive season of Overwatch has ended, but that doesn’t mean your love for the game has to end as well! As far as cosplay goes, we see a lot of Genjis, McCrees, Hanzos, TONS of D.VA’s but not too many Lucios. So when we saw this Lucio video floating online we HAD to see what was up! Check out our interview with Ace cosplayer Monty!

NHG- How old are you and when did you start cosplaying?

Monty- I am 26 years old and I started cosplaying maybe 7 or 8 years ago

NHG- How long did it to build your Lucio cosplay?

Monty- It took me 340 hours to complete this cosplay

NHG- On a scale of 1-10 how difficult was making this?

Monty- 8.5

NHG- Did you ever want to give up?

Monty- No. I never wanted to give up, I kept pushing myself from start to finish.

NHG- How did you make this cosplay?

Monty-I used so many different items from foams, to wood, to plastics, to rubber, to metals, leds, lights, different battery sizes and volts, multiple speakers and a subwoofer, at least 3 different types of fabric and more.

NHG- Does the gun shoot real music?

Monty- Yes the music comes out of the gun and the leds also go to the music

NHG- what other characters have you cosplayed?

Monty- Genji from Overwatch, Lucian from League of Legends and much more.

NHG- What is your favorite game?

Monty- Final Fantasy X

NHG- What is your next cosplay idea?

Monty- Terra from Kingdom Hearts or Arsene from Persona 5

NHG- What advice do you have for someone trying to tackle their own cosplay project?

Monty- I always starts with the hardest piece first. I feel if you can get through the most frustrating pieces then your confidence to build the other parts will be much higher.

Check out the video below to see Lucio in action! 😉

The Leds go to the music from my gun and everything, It even made the shirt, the pants, the belt, everything! I worked so hard to make this cosplay a reality.
